365 Consistent vs. 75 Hard: What’s Really Better for Long-Term Health?

If you’ve been around the fitness world for more than five minutes, you’ve probably heard of 75 Hard — the viral 75-day mental toughness challenge created by Andy Frisella.

It’s intense.
It’s structured.
And for some people, it’s been a powerful reset button.

But let’s talk real life for a minute. At Strength Warehouse, we coach busy adults — people with families, jobs, and a never-ending to-do list — and here’s what we’ve found:

Consistency always beats intensity.

What Is 75 Hard?

In case you haven’t seen it floating around online, 75 Hard is built around five strict daily rules, done for 75 days straight:

  • Stick to a diet (no alcohol, no cheats)
  • Do two 45-minute workouts a day — one must be outside
  • Drink one gallon of water
  • Read 10 pages of nonfiction
  • Take a progress photo every day

Miss one? You start back at Day 1.

It’s a great way to jumpstart discipline. And if you’re someone who thrives on structure or needs a wake-up call, it can be transformative.

But here’s the catch: it ends.

Introducing: 365 Consistent

This is where our philosophy comes in. We call it 365 Consistent.

It’s not a challenge. It’s not a checklist. It’s a mindset shift — one focused on small, sustainable habits that become who you are.

We’re not chasing before-and-after photos here. We’re chasing a life that feels better, moves better, and runs better — one consistent day at a time.

Here’s what that looks like in action:

✅ Strength train 3–4x per week (rest, but not for too long)
✅ Walk every day — aim for 10,000 steps
✅ Prioritize protein and whole foods
✅ Hydrate like it’s your job
✅ Sleep 7–9 hours a night
✅ Learn, reflect, and grow — even just a little
✅ Avoid the stuff that drains your energy and health

Sound simple? That’s the point.

The goal isn’t to crush 75 days — it’s to build something you can keep doing for 365… and beyond.

What Makes 365 Consistent Better?

75 Hard gives you a deadline.
That can be great for short-term motivation — but for many people, once the 75 days are up, so is the discipline. Cue the post-challenge “celebration,” and before you know it, you’re back where you started.

365 Consistent doesn’t stop.
There’s no Day 76. There’s just the next day — and the one after that.

And yeah, maybe it’s not as flashy. Maybe it doesn’t make for a viral post.
But you know what it does lead to?

  • Less burnout
  • More freedom
  • Steady progress
  • A stronger, healthier, more capable you

This is what we coach at Strength Warehouse: habits that stick, results that last, and a plan that works with your life — not against it.

So… Sprint or Marathon?

If you’re thinking about doing 75 Hard, awesome. Go all in, follow it through. It’ll teach you some valuable lessons about grit and discipline.

But once it’s over?

That’s where the real work starts — and where 365 Consistent steps in.

If you’re ready to build a version of fitness and health that doesn’t have an end date, we’re here to help.

Let’s find what consistency looks like for you.
