I lie awake at night thinking about you.
Well, maybe not you specifically. (At least not tonight.)
But even after 7 years of this, I genuinely lie awake, wondering about the people I haven’t seen at the gym lately. I think about where they might be. If they’re alright. If they’re still committed to their goals. If they need a bit of encouragement or a gentle nudge.
And it’s not just me. Every single one of the staff here at Strength Warehouse feels the same way. We text each other about you (again, maybe not you personally). We ask, “Hey, have you seen so and so recently?”
Sometimes, the answer is straightforward. Maybe they’re on vacation or have been unwell. Other times, it’s unclear. So, we reach out with a call or a text, or maybe a lighthearted kidnapping threat.
What’s the point?
The point is that our level of care is exceptionally rare for a gym.
Most gyms hope you sign up and then forget about it, billing you just enough each month that you won’t notice. They’ll call you if your payment doesn’t go through, but that’s about it. There is no judgment there. That’s just their business model.
Our members actually use our gym. We ensure it. And if we do lose a member, we discuss it at our monthly staff meetings. We try to understand what went wrong and how we could have supported them better, aiming to help current and future members stick to their goals.
Everyone needs accountability, support, and encouragement. Everyone veers off track now and then. Everyone needs someone (or a team) in their corner to help them get back on track when they stray.
If you’re missing that in your life, it might be time to find a gym that cares as much about you as we do.
